A native from Michigan, Ian graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy with his Master of Architecture degree in 2017. After practicing as an architectural designer in Detroit, Michigan for three years, Ian made the move to Austin, Texas to expand his horizons and network as an architectural designer. A fervent lover of history and traveling, Ian believes that what truly makes for strong design is understating the context in which a building is being placed; context is what forms the identity of a space and design and should therefore be explored and understood.
